Unpacking and Inspection

Please carefully inspect the packaging and printer upon receiving the bar code printer. Please retain the packaging materials in case you need to reship the printer. 

Ensure you have received all of the components:

  • Printer
  • Power Cable
  • USB Cable
  • External Roll Mount
  • Installation CD (you won't be needing it)
  • Quick Installation Guide

Set Up the Printer

1.     Load the ink ribbon.

2.    Load the labels.

  • There is also an illustration to help you setup the labels properly when you open up the printer. 
  • Once the ribbons and labels are properly installed, you should get a green light when closing the printer.

3.    Download and install the driver for the printer.

  • Once you have downloaded the driver file, follow the step-by-step instructions below. 

4.    Follow the steps in the driver setup wizard and select USB. Proceed by following the on-screen instructions:

  1. "I accept the terms and in the license agreement", click Next, click Next, then click Finish. 
    • Wait for the file to unpack, then look at your taskbar. There should be a flashing "yellow/blue" icon (Asking for permission). Allow access to this file.
  2. Now that you have downloaded the driver software "Seagull Driver Wizard", open it, and click Install printer drivers. 
  3. Ensure your printer is connected to your laptop/PC through the USB cable and click USB. 
    • After this step click the printer model Gainscha GS 2406T or Gainscha GA-2408T and click Next. 
    • Click Next until you get to the end of the installation. 
    • Once the driver is downloaded and installed, your printer should be ready to go.

5.    (Optional) Follow the Gainscha Printer: Network Setup instructions to setup the printer via WiFi/Ethernet.
