Firmware Check
If your Gainscha GS-2406T is not running Firmware 1.1.3.63R36M, you will need to update your hardware.
Verify your Firmware version using the Firmware Tool:
1. Ensure your printer is connected to your computer via USB
2. Run the Firmware tool FWTool Release V1.0.exe
3. In the Communication tab:
- Select USB Port and select your printer in the Select Connection drop down

4. In the Printer Information tab:
- Click Get Printer Info

5. If your KENL Version does not read G1.1.3.63R36M or higher, then you need to apply a firmware update
Verify your Firmware version using the Printer Utility:
1. Ensure your printer is connected to your computer via USB
2. Run the Printer Utility: Printer Utility Release V3.2.5(Intelligent Series GA Series GS Series).exe
3. In the Port Settings section:
- Select USB and select your printer in the Select Port drop down

4. In the Printer Information section:
- Click Load Printer Info

5. If your Kernel Version does not read G1.1.3.63R36M or higher, then you need to apply a firmware update
Firmware Update
1. Ensure your printer is connected to your computer via USB
2. Run the Firmware tool “FWTool Release V1.0.exe”
3. In the Communication tab:
- Select USB Port and select your printer in the Select Connection drop down

4. In the Printer Information tab:
- Click Get Printer Info

5. In the File Property tab:
- Click Open File
- Select the firmware file GS-2406T_G1.1.3.63R36M_20221123_1543.gdac
- Click Upgrade

6. Your printer firmware will be upgraded.

7. Once upgraded, you will receive a confirmation

8. You can now restart the printer and proceed with network setup (if needed).
